After supporting her sons as the "rowing mom", and then becoming an empty nester, she finally decided to try rowing herself...and got hooked!
Along with just 4 other crazy teammates, entered a TON of events and won the overall Efficiency Trophy, along with a bunch of other trophies in individual events.
Won the 40+ Women’s 4+ at the largest regatta in the world!
Went to Hungary to win the D W4+ with teammates Breanne, Eva, Val, and Kim. Hungary was amazing, especially since Eva speaks the language. We ate (and drank) well!
Won the W2- in the D age category with her pair partner, Eva Szegithy! All the hard work we put into learning the pair this year really paid off!!!
Raced 8 times (!!!), made it into 3 finals, and didn't medal. But had a blast. Enjoyed the best camaraderie with teammates, and purchased her first rowing jewelry.
Attending her son Laing's last race as a Badger, at 2017 IRA Championships in Sacramento, CA. Indescribable!
